 Philip Horowitz, M.D.
Dr. Horowitz is a graduate of Johns Hopkins Medical School, having completed both a medical internship at Johns Hopkins and ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Institute, Johns Hopkins. He established a general practice of ophthalmology in 1971, and is chairman, section of ophthalmology at Virtua / Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly, NJ. He is a father of 3 grown children. His interests include music, theater, art and skiing.

James G. Nachbar, M.D.
 James G. Nachbar, M.D. completed his Ophthalmology residency training at Wills Eye Hospital in 1984 and has practiced at South Jersey Eye Physicians since then. He specializes in Cataract and LASIK Laser Vision Correction (Refractive Surgery). He is triple Board Certified - in Ophthalmology (by the American Board of Ophthalmology) and also in Cataract surgery and in LASIK surgery (by the American Board of Eye Surgery). He was one of the first 12 surgeons in the USA to become boarded in LASIK. Originally from Detroit, Dr. Nachbar has been a South Jersey resident since leaving Wills Eye Hospital in 1984. He now lives in Medford.

Sander M. Cohen, M.D.
 Sander M. Cohen, M.D. is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in botanical ecology with honors in Biology. He attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University where he developed an interest in ophthalmology and eye pathology. From Hopkins, he went on to Wills Eye Hospital where he trained for three years in ophthalmology. In 1987, he was honored to be chosen as co-chief resident at Wills Eye. Dr. Cohen and Dr. Nachbar are the only area ophthalmologists who are Board Certified as Cataract Surgery Specialists by the American Board of Eye Surgery. Both are also Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Putnam is a board certified Ophthalmologist. He graduated from Rice University and received his MD from The University of Texas. Dr. Putnam was practicing on the west coast before joining SJEYE in 2000.

Dr. Tran is a board certified Ophthalmologist. He graduated from Yale University and received his MD from Cornell University. He also holds a PhD in molecular genetics from the Rockefeller University. Dr. Tran practiced ophthalmology in New York City, prior to joining SJEYE in 2005.

 Amy R. Wexler, M.D.
Dr. Wexler is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Romance Languages. She attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and from there trained at Thomas Jefferson University Medical Center and Boston University. Following the completion of her ophthalmology residency, Dr. Wexler trained in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Temple University.

Michael Colucciello, M.D.
 Dr. Colucciello is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors' society, graduating Summa Cum Laude from SUNY-Albany in 1982. He attended medical school at SUNY-Syracuse where he earned the Dean's Letter of Commendation. He studied Ophthalmology for 3 years at Nassau County Medical Center in New York and devoted an additional 2 years to Retina and Vitreous sub-specialty fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania - Scheie Eye Institute. He has special interests in diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Laser surgeries are performed in our Moorestown office along with digital fluorescein angiography, OCT and other high-tech diagnostic tests. He joined SJEYE in August, 1997.

Dennis C. Miller, O.D.
 Dr. Miller is a therapeutic optometrist with experience in routine eye care, contact lens fitting, pre & postoperative LASIK care and the treatment of ocular diseases. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, graduating in 2003. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University.
Before joining SJEYE, he practiced in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Dr. Miller joined SJEYE in 2008. He sees adult patients in the Moorestown office.

Michael D. Melzer, O.D.
 Dr. Melzer is a therapeutic optometrist with 20+ years experience in routine eye care, contact lens fitting and the treatment of ocular diseases. He attended the SUNY College of Optometry, graduating in 1983. He holds a Bachelor of Science from SUNY College at Fredonia and a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences from SUNY Buffalo’s Roswell Park Memorial Cancer Institute.
Prior to joining SJEYE, Dr. Melzer worked for 11 years at Millenium Eye Care, where he built a loyal following of patients in Monmouth, Mercer, Ocean and Burlington counties. Many of his prior patients have followed Dr. Melzer to SJEYE, where they continue to see him now.
Dr. Melzer joined SJEYE in 2009. He sees patients in the Cream Ridge office.

 Arthur Siegel, O.D.
Dr. Siegel is an Optometrist. He is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He is a consultant and Low Vision Panel Member of the NJ Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired. His clinical practice is limited to Low Vision Rehabilitation. Dr. Siegel joined SJEYE in 2000. In addition to consultative services, he offers a wide range of optical & electronic aids to help our vision impaired patients.
